First of all: WELCOME TO PORTELA.

Before a good coffee became a luxury. Before coffee was served with foreign words, espresso here, Americano there. Before coffee grinders became part of the decoration.

Before all this, more specifically since 1977, Ângelo Marçal, the father and founder of Casa dos Cafés Portela, has been selecting, roasting, blending and serving coffee with that passion for coffee that he brought back from his time in Africa.

After many comings and goings, Portela's cakes, tea, chocolates, meals, shops and friends have grown, but we have not changed one iota of our passion for coffee which, as always, is roasted every Wednesday.

And what else? Nothing else, just delicious coffee.
