Purificación García is a Spanish clothing and accessory brand for men and women, created by fashion designer Purificación García, in the 1980s. Prior to establishing herself in Barcelona and founding the brand, this fashion designer lived in various cities and countries, namely Uruguay, Canada, New York and the Balearic Islands, from where she acquired her knowledge and experience of design and fashion. This trajectory influenced her decision to take the plunge and launch her own brand. In 1981 the Purificación García brand presented its first full collection, and within a period of two years, it was already well-established in the Spanish market and present in fashion shows in Madrid and Barcelona. The brand’s first store was launched in Belgium, after which it expanded to Milan, Tokyo and Japan. It is currently present in most countries around the world, such as Andorra, United Arab Emirates, Bolivia, Chile, Columbia, Costa Rica, Spain, Portugal, Qatar and the United States of America.
