Freeport and Vila do Conde Reinforce Commitment to Electric Mobility with 1 Million Euro Investment
Freeport Lisboa Fashion Outlet and Vila do Conde Porto Fashion Outlet have reaffirmed their commitment to sustainability by installing 39 dual electric vehicle (EV) chargers. This has been made possible through an investment of almost 1 million euros and realised in partnership with Atlante. This new infrastructure allows 78 EVs to be charged simultaneously, consolidating both outlets as strategic destinations in the promotion of electric mobility in Portugal.
The first phase of the project is already completed and operational in both centres, while the second phase will be completed by January 2025. Seventeen dual chargers have been installed in Freeport Lisboa Fashion Outlet, corresponding to 34 spaces, distributed between the outdoor car park and the underground parking. The available options in the outdoor car park include: four ultra-fast charging spaces, capable of charging within 30 minutes; ten fast-charging spaces, with charging times from 40 minutes to one hour; and twenty normal charging spaces, charging between 2 and 5 hours, depending on the power. In the underground parking, an ultrafast charger, two fast chargers and six normal chargers are currently in operation.
With this investment, Freeport Lisboa Fashion Outlet reinforces its commitment to energy transition, offering its guests a more practical and sustainable experience aligned with the demands of a greener future.
